Girlguiding Norfolk Heritage |
|
We’re extremely proud in
Norfolk to have
been granted £25,000 from the Heritage Lottery Fund Young Roots Project to
research the history of guiding in our county. This wonderful project, called
the Historical Jigsaw, has taken us on a great adventure, allowing us to time
travel back through almost 100 years of history. Highlights have included a
1940s Guide camp at Gressenhall, near Dereham, in the summer of 2007, and the
recording of many guiding memories via our oral histories mini-project.
With the centenary of
Girlguiding UK
fast approaching in 2010, we’re adding to our heritage project all the time.
