North West Norfolk Division

Welcome to North West Norfolk Division

Whether it’s coast, countryside, urban or rural – we have it all!

We’re proud that our Division includes the Royal residences of Sandringham and Anmer. Heacham is famous for its association with Pocahontas and is also the home of Norfolk Lavender. Hunstanton is the only east coast resort facing west – the sunsets are amazing! Near to Fakenham is Pensthorpe nature reserve and on the stunning North Norfolk coast is Holkham Hall and beach.

We welcome many visiting units into our Division who take advantage of our holiday and camping venues such as: Dunton Centre, Hunstanton Methodist Church Hall, Wells Scout HQ, and campsites at Wolferton and Jimmy’s Field at Snettisham.

Our Division is made up of 3 Districts:

  • Freebridge Lynn have units in Gayton, Dersingham, Snettisham and Sandringham areas
  • Gallow have units in Fakenham, Wells and Syderstone areas
  • Smithdon & Brothercross have Hunstanton and Docking areas

Highlights are:

Our annual leader’s weekend for adults, which are a mixture of training, indoor and outdoor activities, networking and of course, great fun.

We regularly have other social events and activities for adults and girls throughout the year at unit, District and Division levels.

We represent Girlguiding Norfolk at prestigious events such as Sandringham Flower Show, Wild about the Wensum, Pensthorpe and Hunstanton Carnival.

We’re proud that we are always first to submit our accounts and annual subscription payments – we think this is because we have an excellent support network and good communication.

As a Division we offer a uniform grant to Young Leaders which is sponsored by our two Trefoil Guilds. We also give a long service award voucher to adults for use towards purchases from our excellent Trading Depot. It is because our Depot is so well used throughout the Division that it can give financial support to a lot of the activities we have on offer.

We are always happy to welcome new people, be it adult volunteers or young members to our great division.
