All our activities are designed to help young people and adults (of all ages) have fun and achieve their goals while using our collections to learn about amazing and inspirational women from the past. You can do that in one of three ways; come and visit us, book a visit from one of our outreach team or download activities.
You don’t need to be a member of Girlguiding to enjoy our resources. We welcome visits from schools and adult groups such as Women’s Institutes and U3A, (University of the Third Age), as well as Girlguiding units. We are also very happy to give talks.
Our volunteers offer outreach workshops on request, and we have a selection of displays and presentations available to borrow, including Girl Guides in WW1 and Girl Guides in WW2.
If you are a leader searching for activities for your unit, look at our programme fun page where we have ready-made activity sessions to support lots of unit meeting activities (UMAs) such as Time Travelling Rainbows, Wartime Guides, and Museum of Imagination. If you have something else in mind, we are happy to work with you to create exactly the right activities for YOUR visit.
We are also able to offer online sessions via Zoom. Have a look at our Programme Fun page for each section to see what we can do.
If you are looking for some training for leaders, contact us to find out about our Zoom session on Bringing Guiding History Alive.
We also offer downloadable resources to support some UMAs including World Centre Welcome, World Centre Postcards, and others on request.
Download our guiding leaflet to find out more about what we can do for you and your girls.
