Leaders – we can help you fulfil various parts of your guiding programme.
Our volunteers can run sessions for your unit, either at the ARC or in your meeting place, and we have various boxes of hands-on archive materials you can borrow.
There is one ‘Traditions’ handling box available for each section. Each box contains a collection of items to run a traditional meeting appropriate for your section, as well as games and old uniforms to try on. We also have a campfire blanket and quiz for each section.
If you want a specific theme, such as World War One, World War Two – or a mixture of both – we can put together a special box for you. We have reminiscence boxes on a camp theme, which are ideal for inter-generational work.
And if you have a specific topic in mind we have a wide range of memorabilia available for you to use.
Examples of sessions we have run for units or groups include:
We even have our own resource cards to support the UMAs (Unit Meeting Activities). Download these (coming soon) to use in your unit or come and visit us so that your girls can learn about guiding traditions and skills.
