This event is designed to inspire and encourage an active interest in and learn more about STEM subjects.

We will bust the myths about technical jobs and introduce you to the world of opportunity that Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics could bring.

Various organisations and businesses are already lined up to support the event with activities, interactive displays and guest speakers all to enthuse you in the STEM fields.

There will be around 20 different activities and interactive displays set out in a market place environment.

Activities include (but are not limited to):-

  • Red Cross Map-a-thon
  • Micro Robotics
  • Structural Engineering with Virtual Reality
  • Electronics
  • Coding with IBM
  • Math’s in Action
  • Lego City & Virtual Reality
  • Dyson foundation activities
  • Electronics
  • DNA decoding
  • 3D Printing
  • Interactive Model Gas Turbine

 

Inspirational Speakers include (but are not limited to):-

  • Clare Montima (IBM partner & one of the top women in coding 2018)
  • A female Engineering RAF Officer
  • Maz Bown and the Aviva Quantum team
  • Dr Mark Thompson a published Astronomy Author who has appeared several times as an expert on the BBC & the One Show

Dr Jessica Barker (an expert in human nature of cybersecurity, named as one of the top 20 most influential women in cybersecurity in the UK and awarded as one of the UK’s Tech Women 50 in 2017)
