WoW (Wonder of Words) Festival is a fun and interactive Girlguiding Norfolk County event for Guides and Rangers on a theme of books, writing and illustrating. The aim is to enthuse participants to leave the event with a desire to read more or even write or illustrate their own creations.
Saturday 28 September 2019 from 10 am until 3 pm at the John Innes Centre, Norwich Research Park, Norwich, NR4 7UH. Cost is £7 per Guide/Ranger to include all activities and a special WOW Festival badge. Cheques should be made payable to Norfolk Guide Association.
All places, which are limited, are being allocated on a first come, first served basis by simply contacting County Office with details of unit name, district, number of girls/leaders attending.
We would like you to write one of the following:
‘Letter Home’ should be no more than 400 words.
‘Postcard Home’ should be illustrated and no more than 100 words.
Best Guiding Memories – a poem in any format which may be illustrated.

Important information:
The competition is open to all Girlguiding Norfolk Guides and Rangers aged 10-18 years.
The closing date for entries is Friday 30 August 2019.
Entries should be sent in hard copy format to County Office. Each entry should clearly state the entrant’s name, age, unit and district.
Only one entry per Guide/Ranger.
There will be 3 winners in each of the 3 categories.
Winners will be invited to attend the WoW (Wonder of Words) Festival as special guests on 28 September 2019 at the John Innes Centre to receive their prizes.
