When someone suggested I apply for the county role, nothing was further from my mind! Undertaking this role with Fiona was a fantastic opportunity because we both brought something different to the role. We have had moments when we wondered what we had volunteered for and moments when we have laughed so much.

As I now look to continue in the role on my own I realise that having been a member since Brownies, I am showing that I truly believe “Girls can do anything”! I’ve shared my 40+ year guiding journey with my Mum, then my daughters and so many guiding friends along the way. I’ve been a leader in all sections and been part of many residentials, indoors, outdoors and overseas – the latest one is always my favourite, because it builds on all those previous events.

I am very proud to be Norfolk born and proud of all the Girlguiding Norfolk volunteers, and employees, who put so much of their time into making this an amazing experience for all our young members.
