Broadland division

Girlguiding Norfolk

Broadland Division is, as its name suggests, an area surrounded by the stunning Norfolk Broads.

We are a thriving, energetic and enthusiastic guiding area consisting of Rainbow, Brownie, Guide, Ranger and Trefoil Guild units. We are made up of four districts; Acle, Blofield, Hautbois and Stalham.

Our wide variety of units offers opportunities to girls aged 4 and upwards, teaching them skills for life and encouraging lifelong friendships.

We have the wonderful Hautbois Centre, Patteson Lodge and the Archive Resource Centre (ARC) within our division and regularly access opportunities offered such as residentials, camping, activity days (including crate stacking, escape rooms, archery and water-based activities), badge days, camp fires and experience of our guiding history.

We love sleepovers and residentials. We get together with other units, as a district, division or for large scale events.  These have included Thinking Day events, parties, craft workshops, visits to the theatre, cinema, circus, the seaside, zoos and theme parks.

We have taken members to international jamborees in the UK, Pax Lodge in London and Our Chalet in Switzerland ( both are WAGGGS world centres).

We don’t just organise events for our unit members, we also have events for our volunteers including social nights out, nights away, and activities like paddleboarding or geocaching.

With a vast number of Guiding units within our friendly, sociable and skilled division, we would love to welcome you into one of our units as a member, volunteer or occasional helper.
