Great Yarmouth is split into 3 districts: Fleggs, Great Yarmouth and Gorleston.
From our well-known seafront to the Roman ruins at Burgh Castle, via a bustling harbour mouth, a film backdrop and even some seal colonies – we have a lot of amazing locations, to match our amazing leaders. We have a wealth of local history and take every opportunity to appear at local events – where we can showcase what we do.
Starting at 4 years old, our Rainbows, Brownies, Guides and Rangers are aware that we help girls know that they can do anything. We give girls a space to belong and have fun. We show them leadership skills and listen to them – the latest research has resulted in 72 new interest badges and the many took part in the consultation over the uniform redesign due in 2026. Every year we hold a Girls Attitude Survey, to understand the problems they face in today’s world – and what we can do to help them.
Like many voluntary organisations we are always keen to encourage more volunteers. Volunteering with us isn’t just about campfires and helping girls to get their next badge – although those are special moments. It’s about empowering girls and giving them new experiences. It’s helping girls realise their own potential, sharing and developing your skills, all while having the time of your life.
We are at the heart of each of the villages which surround Great Yarmouth, south towards Gorleston and north as far as Martham. We have many small village units which would welcome members and help them to become a part of our national organisation which offers girl only spaces, because that what they have asked for!
Look out for us at the cliff top festival on 2nd & 3rd August
