Welcome to North West Norfolk division. Whether it’s coast, countryside, urban or rural – we have it all!
Whether it’s coast, countryside, urban or rural – we have it all!
We’re proud that our division includes the Royal residence of Sandringham. Heacham is famous for its association with Pocahontas and is also the home of Norfolk Lavender. Hunstanton is the only east coast resort facing west – the sunsets are amazing! Near to Fakenham is Pensthorpe nature reserve and on the stunning North Norfolk coast is Holkham Hall and beach. We represent Girlguiding Norfolk at prestigious events such as Sandringham Flower Show, Wild about the Wensum, Pensthorpe and Hunstanton Carnival.
Our division is made up of 3 Districts, Freebridge Lynn, Gallow and Smithdon & Brothercross. Our annual leader’s weekend for adults, which are a mixture of training, indoor and outdoor activities, networking and of course, great fun. We regularly have other social events and activities for adults and girls throughout the year at unit, district and division levels.
Starting at 4 years old, our Rainbows, Brownies, Guides and Rangers are aware that we help girls know that they can do anything. We give girls a space to belong and have fun. We show them leadership skills and listen to them – the latest research has resulted in 72 new interest badges and the many took part in the consultation over the uniform redesign due in 2026. Every year we hold a Girls Attitude Survey, to understand the problems they face in today’s world – and what we can do to help them.
Like many voluntary organisations we are always keen to encourage more volunteers. Volunteering with us isn’t just about campfires and helping girls to get their next badge – although those are special moments. It’s about empowering girls and giving them new experiences. It’s helping girls realise their own potential, sharing and developing your skills, all while having the time of your life.
