We are made up of three Districts, Aylsham, Felbrigg and North Walsham. Each district has a number of Rainbow, Brownie and Guide units and a Senior Section / Ranger unit, as well as a Trefoil group
Aylsham District has a radius of appox 10 miles around the market town of Aylsham.
Felbrigg District covers the seaside towns of Cromer & Sheringham. Both Cromer & Sheringham have their own Headquarters, which can be booked for camps & holidays via their District Commissioners. The District was named after the National Trust house Felbrigg Hall.
North Walsham District is based in the market town of North Walsham. The Rainbow, Brownie,Guide and Senior Section units all meet in North Walsham except for Mundesley Brownies who meet in their local Scout Headquarters. There is a local Trefoil Guild called St Bennett’s.
The North Norfolk Division tries to have a Division event each year. We either do an outing, which often includes going out of Norfolk e.g. we have been to Colchester Zoo and Warwick Castle, or we hold a fun day for all sections to enjoy at either a local school or guiding centre as we are very close to Patteson Lodge and Hautbois Activity Centre. We take it in turns to have a large Thinking Day event e.g. our most recent “Dance Around The World” or Carol Service in one of the District churches.
The Division team enjoy putting on the leaders’ weekend held each January. We invite members from young leaders up to and including Trefoil Guild members. In the past we have had from 16 to 80 years old. We normally have around 35 members attending the weekend, joining in such activities as walking, bird watching and all manner of craft skills. The weekend is based on a theme. We have had Burns night, Victorian England and more recently “Allo, Allo” and Cowboys. A themed dinner is always a highlight of the weekend!
